Hello all,

I realize this post should more than likely go into the scratch building , however I thought i'd get a more direct response in here.

I'm looking to power a single axle in a little "bush jigger" i'm wanting to build for my fathers railway.
I cant seem to find anything on the internet using the 45mm wheel base for 1:24 scale. Have you guys any ideas on where to get one,or perhaps you could point me in a good direction. I was thinking maybe i'd have to go with a small RC car motor and gear box..

Thanks in advance..

Anthony.

You might look for a Bachmann 0-4-0 Porter. They come with a single axle drive attached to the motor.

Another alternative, if you need something small, is to buy the rear axle/wheel set from a Bachmann rail truck, and power it with a small, geared motor. That's what I did when I built my rail bus.

I bought the geared motor from this supplier:

At some point, I'd see someone mention using parts from Hartland Locomotive Works, HLW, who have a small rail truck.
