Wouldn't it be neat to have a mine tunnel going through the base? Or, even a cave.

Eureka! Now I know how to show the underground part of a shaft mine I want to do on my layout. Cool! :glad:

thought about the "core sample" also but couldn't figure out how to do it. I HAVE A BUNCH OF U S STANDARD SIEVES AND DIRT FROM GOLD MINING BUT GLUEING IT ON MIGHT BE A PAIN. darn caps lock. you could take a picture and wrap it around a card board tube. i have a picture of coke and pepsi boxes i did that with and found a ratty match box coke van for it
