I know you'll enjoy the read when it arrives Michael! Here is a great post listing the resources Keith Pashina wrote up for his thread here on FR about his HOn3 RR based on the GT. (It's the second post down on this page) the whole thread is inspirational to me for modeling the Gilpin.

I know you'll enjoy it Michael, that was a great price too. Here is a list (2nd post down, by Keith) here on FreeRails on the Gilpin Tram reading references.

The whole thread is an inspiration to me as it covers Keith building his HOn30 RR in a small space, to be a close representation of the Gilpin Tram.

It's not like I really needed another book. My railroad library consists of about 60 books right now. But, I've been accumulating over some 40+ years. Just don't tell the wife I ordered another.

That's nothing! While I only have around 20-30 RR books, my US numismatic literature collection is so dang big, I need a storage unit to hold it all right now.
The thing with the RR books, is the cost. Most of the really good books are close to $100 or more it seems. My last two I found for steal, but I had to wait over a year of searching and hunting for the bargains.
My most wanted RR book at the moment, is going to be a tough one to find affordable and in the quality I'm willing to settle for; "The Shay Locomotive: Titan of timber" by Michael Koch!

My copy of The Gilpin Gold Tram showed up. In very good condition for being used. Caboose 400 looks like it would be an easy build.
