Thanks for being part of the clan,my name is Manfred being most of my 60+ years a train fan started out with Maerklin in germany later moved to utah and got my Bmann G scale train from my wife for christmas only to be told in the following april that Cmas was over now and i have to move my choo choo (she still thinks i am a kid)into the basement! By doing so i discovered plenty of space down stairs and started building up my RR empire (moore tracks /LGB/Moore trains )only when i started with live steam which set off the smoke detector all the time i had to move outdoors ,by the time my daughter grew up and we got rid of the play ground toys in the back yard my Train empire dwarfed the the veggie and flower garden(500 ft of track) 10 live steam engines later i got the idea due the forceful break of severe winter season to start a ON30 layout in one room(we see about that later)in the basement! 2 module 4x5 feet each bolted together will be the start, well here i am Manfred

Hey there! On30 is indeed fun, so many ways to go with it; large, small, freelance, proto-lance, prototype, and, "Hmm, what strikes my fancy this week?"

Welcome aboard. I've worked in every scale and gauge of toy and model trains for over fifty years, and love them all.

I did G scale/garden railways/live steam from 1983 through 1997. Even wrote for Garden Railways and Live Steam magazines. Set my pant leg on fire once and singed my beard another time!

I took up On30 in 1999 and have enjoyed building twelve micro layouts to display at train shows and other events since then. (So far no fires!) :bg:

Lots of good folks here! Enjoy!

Stumpy in Ahia :old dude:
