I have a handful of Arttista 1/48 figures. Very nice, although pricey enough that their use is only warranted in the foreground (for me anyway).

I agree, no point in using extra-super detailed stuff where it can (hardly) be seen (or not at all), like all the way against a backdrop. If the whole thing blends together I call it a day.
But if this is what floats your boat...
