I'm a new member and figured I should start with a proper introduction. My name is Benjamin (Please feel free to call me Ben...or any "reasonable" derivative of...) and I look forward to getting to know some of you over the next while.

I've been an avid railroad modeller for over 20 years now. My friendship with a hobby shop owner in Nanaimo exposed me to the world of On30 and from that point on I was hooked. Since then, I've been completely engrossed in On30 modeling. I've completed a couple layouts in the past, and now am working on both a new home layout as well as half of a small display layout along with my friend which we will eventually take to model railroad shows, etc. for display as well as a venue for promoting the world of On30 modeling.

I am most certainly a long long way from being any kind of expert and will always gladly accept any critique or suggestions along the way. Always happy to lend assistance if what I have to offer is of use...and I'm always looking for input as well. Anything that helps us promote the hobby is a positive in my books!

Cheers!
Ben

Howdy Ben, welcome to Freerails. I'm sure you will find a lot to interest you here. We have some of the most accomplished modelers there are and several for-real authors. And the historical (ie Gilpin Tram thread) info is beyond compare. Ask questions, we love to answer them (even if I don't know the right answer, I try). If you have photos, we love them also. Let us hear from you.

Woodie
