Following the recent death of my brother and sister-in-law, last week my friend John came down from WA for a visit. John was best man at both my wedding and my brother's. We decided to take couple days to go camping in the desert, reminisce, and commiserate.

The desert was still in bloom, with brilliant flowers everywhere. It was very peaceful, beautiful and soothing. Here are some photos:

Sadly, the day after I got back, Cris' mom passed away at the age of 87 just a few weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. At least she wasn't in pain, and passed quietly in her sleep.

Beautiful desert scenery Ray, thanks. I hope you found it healing & restorative.
