Here's a nice little book about the last narrow gauge common carrier in the Midwest. Based in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, this obscure little line hauled logs from the woods and over it's years some very interesting equipment was used. The Robbins Railroad & Thunder Lake Lumber Co. had a Shay, a Porter, several Baldwins, and one of the original DSP&P 2-8-0's from Colorado. They also used a McGiffert loader and the operation lasted until 1941...still using link & pin couplers!
This book is a nice addition to any narrow gauge lovers' library and it is available (from Abe and others) at a reasonable $10 up to $$$ depending upon condition. I assume that all the photos shown are all there is. I own a nice but worn copy and get it out occasionally to check out the neat story and pics.

Find one of these books, you'll be glad you did.
