WOW! Now THAT is a delightful video. Man, those cars just whizz down the incline...a bit faster than I thought they would. Great find.

Indeed great video. With a quick calculation with the facts at the end of the video, the cars were driving 13,3 mile/hour = 21 km/h. What Woodie said, pretty fast.

Movies in the silent era were shot at 16 frames per second. Played back in modern equipment at 24 fps, you see a 50% increase in speed due to the faster playback.

This film was shot in the early fifties, and the fps was 24 already then.

Hi, Helmut

I thought it was much older than the 50's because of no sound and title cards. Some of the clothing styles look 20's or 30's, as well.
