That's really cool Bob I like it a lot :)

How well do the 'O' ring wear and do they need to be replaced often?

Kadee sells/sold packs of their springs.
In the Dark Ages I used to polish the inside of the bearing holes with half a Q-tip on a Dremel and some polishing compound. A light hand and several SHORT passes will do it.

Thanks!  I have about 6 hours on my prototype and haven't seen any significant belt wear yet.  With white pulleys it is easy to see belt particles and there are some on the small diameter dual pulley, probably from testing when I stalled the main drive wheel.

I run the belts at zero stretch (even a few percent slack) to minimize drag.  Nigel Lawton's belt/pulley spreadsheet is a nice tool to calculate belt stretch!  Belts are inexpensive from Amazon and even less (in packs of 50 or 100) from McMaster.
