Aw, c'mon Larry. Be bold!

In the 1930s it was thought that the church-going residents of Updah might object to the sights at Madamme Molly's Painted Lady saloon.

Where downstairs was a scene of modest propriety - well, almost -

But upstairs was a different kettle of fish altogether!

But Madamme Molly had also produced and bottled a sweet smelling perfume from the resin of the local Cedar and Juniper trees.

Which the local ladies found easily covered up their discomposure and salved their consciences,
especially when they realised how much extra trade the set-up brought into the township!

So c'mon Larry - let it all hang out!

OK, I have decided to do the clothing optional resort.
1965 will be the new time frame of my layout.

I'll use the Big Stone Mountain Lodge name.
My little tram line is the only way to reach this resort.

Hikers, who make the arduous climb high up into the mountains,
could accidentally run across the naked resort guests.

The hikers are welcome to don their birthday suites,
and cool off in the swimming pool.

It's a long walk back down the mountain.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Construction crews are making some progress on the Big Stone Mountain Lodge.

Curious guests, at this clothing optional resort, have already started to arrive.
For now, only day trips until the buildings are finished.

Much of the grounds are finished as is a beach down by the lake.
Over night wilderness camping is available for those who are interested.

Good job the management have planted soft leaf hedges, shrubs and flowers.

Can do without any cacti, gorse or the like to back onto !

Interesting job this man has, many inspiring sights along the right of way.

Actually, this scene isn't as racy as it may first appear.
The lady on the right is the mans wife and the other one is her best friend.
All three are employees and live on the resort grounds during the summer.

Presumably when he tells the boss he's going for a run to recharge his batteries,

he's not talking about that delightful battery electric vehicle!

;)

If you would like to know more about clothing optional resorts and nudist resorts,
I found this web site has a lot of info.

All the photos show what these resorts look like today.
So, I'm trying to back date my resort,
to look like what I imagine it would be in 1965.

There is some nudity shown, here and there.
Mostly you will see what the grounds look like.

A little more progress on the Big Stone Mountain Lodge.
Construction crews have built the shell of another building with a connecting "skyway".

A bit more progress.
The black areas will have green grass applied.

Building flats will cover the wall on the right.
