Well, you have to know the ropes....
for me, 'simple' enables me to read the PMs, 'aiblue' is for the gallery, and 'sea' for the looks. OK, keeps those grey cells in training...

" Keeps those grey cells in training... "

Good morning Helmut.

You're up early !

:moose:

You should be able to browse your PMs in the blissfully calming 'sea' Theme.
& use the visually arresting 'aiblue' Theme, or the Bill Gates 'ultra' Theme for uploading to the Gallery.

The 'ultra' Theme in fact, is working OK for BOTH the Gallery & PMs !

Our highly trained flea-circus is checking the circuits as we speak.

;)

Si.

Don't worry, as long as the grey cells are jumping about & no grey hair is falling out.

Personally, I'm worried about BOTH !!

Still having problems posting.

I tried to post to this topic:

TOPIC

It indicates I posted but nothing is there.  Tony Walsham's name showed prior to mine that he posted but I never saw anything.

When I hit the symbol to go to the last post in the topic, it says Page Not Found.

Hi Bob.

There was a problem at the end of the Page, on that Thread.

Tony Walsham, in fact, made a TRIPLE-POST ! at the end of the Page.

I have fixed the 'Page Not Found' error.

However, no further Posts can be added to that Thread.

Yours is now the last Post.

It can be viewed & linked to as normal.

A 'pt.II' will need to be started, to continue with the Topic.

Thanks Si, I felt it was similar to what we had been seeing. I'm surprised mine didn't show up multiple times.

Hi Bob.

You are right.
There were a number of multiple Posts in that Thread, at the transition point to a new Page.
After getting your message, the 'surplus' Posts at that point, were removed.

The Thread was active at the time following the Freerails server-crash of 16th August this year.
Some further new Posts were added in November.
But the Thread has taken 3-months, to reach the point of creating a new Page.

The Thread was obviously slightly damaged around the 16th August, when the server-crash happened.
It has taken this time for it to emerge as a problem though.

There will be the odd 1 or 2 things like this that happen, as a result of what was done back in August.
By and large, as you see, things are working as they should be.
But due to the HUGE size of Freerails, it is basically impossible to check every single Thread for this kind of 'fallout'.
We can only deal with the 1 or 2 remaining difficulties, as and when they emerge.

The Thread has been made a 'sticky', as have the few others, that have needed 'pt.II's started.
It can be viewed and linked to in the normal way, just no further new Posts can be added.

Si.

Hi, I just changed my avatar but it does not show in a new post.
Any idea how this is possible? I already deleted some freerails cookies, not sure of it were all of them.

Thanks, Alwin

Hi Alwin

I checked out your Avatar
It's working just fine at this end

I didn't have many Avatars on hand
So I used this Pamela Anderson one for testing

It was either that
Donald Trump
Yosemite Sam
Or Lance Armstrong

If you're not happy with Pamela
Let me know
We'll work something out

NICE FLAG OUTFIT !

:f:

Eddie

Eddie,

Thanks. It didn't work from my computer. The problem was the browser, it rememberd the old avatar. I cleared the history and the cookies of the browser and now its working fine.

B.t.w. Pamela is nice though I changed her for a stupid train.

Alwin

P.s. I wonder why you have avatars of those people? L:
