Every time I look at the photos of the Tanque Charuto, I want to start over,

and figure out how to get that dent on one side,  L: L: L:  for that in service look.

Another work table purchased, for a working base for my diorama,

need to purchase 10-15 feet of 1/4 inch doweling to support the main building.  :)

More likely to keep busy on it in the dining room then the basement,  :)

and it is closer to  :java:  and  [toast]  which I will need!.

Why, despite having a fair amount of free space ...

... do I make all of my railroad models on the kitchen table ?  ???

It's obvious ...

... There ain't no fresh filter coffee in the pasture out back !      :java: :P     ;)

YOU'VE GOT YOUR DARN  'R'  NUMBER WRONG SONNY !  :old dude:

( I'm surprised Canadian    Ken didn't spot that one )  ;)

Of course ! ... Silly me  :dope:  ... My tank car BASH victim ^^ is actually an 'R117 Oil Tanker' ...

... illustrated very nicely indeed, in the 2nd  'Tri-ang RAILWAYS'  catalogue from 1956 !

( WAY ! before my time !! )  :P

I've been missing the slightly oDd 'vintage vibe'  M.M.M.M.M.& M.Co.  brings to 1:35n2 BASHing recently.  :us:

Entirely due to not having been modding any of those nice 'Tri-ang' diecast trucks recently ...

... or rummaging through scrap boxes, my 'priceless' collection,  ;)  or eBay, for saw fodder !

" Kudo's for kit bashing a covered hopper into a tank car "

Hi    Ken

You    might well joke !

But ...

... it may well have resulted in Wolfy getting a  'straighter'  tank car !!   :dt:  ;)

I think  L:  this ^^ is the eBay photo, of the R117 Wolfy (had the misfortune to have) bought !   :f:

100% genuine 1955 or 1956 (ish) first production 'Tri-ang' Transcontinental R117 Oil Tanker !!

(always look at the photos more carefully than I did folks ... never again)  :P

Marvelous if you want your tank car to have a classic banana or hotdog shape !

'Tri-ang's initial (very unstable) Cellulose-Acetate plastic, is NOT popular with BASHers or collectors ...  :td:

... & I wondered why I was the ONLY bidder at the time, good boxed ones go for a few £££  $$$  :cb:

Oh well ... Another priceless vintage car for the HACKSAW ...  :mex:

... that The 'Tri-ang' Collectors Club WON'T be stacking on their heaving full shelving !!   ;)

Si.

I can understand after seeing the tank car  L:
you have not glued the pieces together.

Maybe take a look at the Yosemite Lumber Co tank car,
used on their incline, with the filling hatch at one end.

It is not likely you will build an incline,
but the oddball car would fit in with the MM Railway,
having been picked up from another railway.

 :time:
