- - - - - - -

Just so as Jose ( maybe ) will still speak to me ... ;)

... the Trevithick engine kitBASHidea ... is a GOOD 'EN !

When I Posted the Trevithick pix. ...

... I had NO IDEA that a 1:38 scale funky-kit was available !

This placky-junk is HIGH on my wish-list ...

... thanks to Joses VISA-card BUSTIN' advice ! ;)

What can you do ?

Go with it, I guess ?

NICE !

- - - - - - -

Cuddly Ken ;) ...

... & his Canadian kitBASHing ideas ...

... well ... we came up with a CHEAPER ! economy Ford-T armoured-car option !

Back in the M.M.M.M.M.& M.Co. world ...

... Wolfy just thought about CRANES !

Coming up   .   .   .

Before moving onto the latest with the M.M.M.M.M.& M.Co. crane stuff ... :bg: ...

... I realized that I hadn't really said what interested me about Kens armoured-car idea ! L:

Or for that matter Joses kit of the 200 year old Trevithick contraption !!

I am on the look out for funky-junque generally. :pimp:

Some of whatever I come up with would be 'static', behind the shed kinda things.

Other stuff may be 'mobile' and could move around like wagons & vehicles.

Yet more I am considering as 'loads' for my flat cars. L:

In particular the railroads 'heavy duty' flatcar(s?) & depressed-centre flatcar.

Also how to actually load these cars, whether by crane or ramp ? ... or both !!

The new plate-frame trucks were a great improvement on this car, over the old pressed-steel originals.

Much lower to the rail as well.

Hi Ken  Eh!

Well ... I did gather a bit more stuff on the Ford Model-T 'budget' alternative to Kens ROLLS ROYCE ! ;)

Here we are Ken !

Just in case you're running short of kitBASHes to work on. :P

I know you're just gonna HAVE to have one of these in 1:48 for your layout. ;)

I think Jose would probably agree with me on this ... :old dude:

... I'd scrap the tires off your 1:48 model Ken & go for FLANGES on a armoured-railcar version for sure.

&

For us 1:35 hipsters ... the 1920s Polish Ford Tfc is available as an affordable kit by 'RPM'.

I've got absolutely NO IDEA what the battleship-grey thing is behind it ...

... so NO there's absolutely NO chance of kitBASHing one of those whatsoever ! ;)

If anyone reads Polish though, I am slightly intrigued as to what the red lettering says.

( or is that grey thing a Russian grey thing ? )

Si

Not a clue as to what the ugly grey thing could be, look's like something from the "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".
Pretty certain I would not want to try and take it on with a Ford Tfc. Maybe with a Sherman Firefly with the 17 pounder gun.

I can pass on the 1/48th scale version, have a photo of a
Central American armoured paycar, which I may model.
