New topic because the old one has some serious trouble..now you all can comment again ;)

Leaving for the Warley show in Birmingham in 3 weeks I still have some unfinished things, Working on some detail thingies, figure painting and some additional weathering of the buildings. Can't say for shure I will be completely finished but it starts to look ok to me..

Hi Martin.

No 'serious trouble' with Mara Harbour (pt.I)

Everything can be viewed & linked to as normal.

Just no further Posts can be added, hence this pt.II

I love everything about this, but the scenery is quite impressive. I love the weeds and undergrowth.
Do you have any tips for how others can get similar results?

Hi Martin,
If this is "ONLY STARTING" to look OK then I'd probably despair at seeing your "looking good" or "looking excellent" will look like. You have the eye of a true artist.

Mara Harbour is truly inspirational. Hopefully one of these days Mara Harbour and myself might be the same part of the world.

Good Luck with your next show at Warley,

Thanks !!

Spend almost this entire Sunday painting pilings, more additions to the wharf. To speed up the proces it's acrylics only today..Inbetween I shot around 17 pictures of every step to write a SBS. Let them dry now for a day to add more weathering with enamels.

from this..

to this in a day..

and a bunch more..

Reworked the retaining walls, spraypainted with an airbrush and Ammo acrylics, just light coats. Glued the pilings in place and shot some pictures so you get an idea of the final scene in this corner. Think I'll add some additional enamel weathering tommorow..

That looks great Martin!  Some weathering to tie it all together and the results will no doubt be fantastic!

Thanks !!

Got a little work done on the layout, needed a bunch of signs and so. Added some painted signs and metal ones. The metal ones just ordinary pieces of printed papers rusted with various acrylic colors and pigment. For the painted sign I used a self adhesive paper sticker sheet. Printed and cut out as a mask. Airbrushed the color on. Worked pretty good for me but maybe I use some of this washable acrylics to fade them the next time..
