Hi Helmut

I'd be pretty careful on what & where you spray that can of silicone on your desk !

It can be a $&%£@?$ if it gets in the wrong places.

Reminds me of the time, a few decades ago, when I used Armorall on my motorcycle seat.

That is a really bad idea.

Si,
huh, I am not sure we want to know how you felt the need to share that!  :bg:

Reg,
been there, done that - once!  I am not sure Si was thinking of something so innocuous though.

Hi Helmut

What I am TRYING to say, in a nutshell, IS

That silicone-spray has NO PLACE in model-railroading (that I know of).

It would be like knocking down a brick wall with an A-Bomb !

If you get it on any materials (& you will) it will make painting them impossible...
...it's also very hard to get it orf !

It won't help any electrical connections either.
It is however a top-notch insulator !

Just another Dimes worth of wisdom on the road to OBLIVION ! ;)

Huh - so not good for lubricating axles, rollers, side rods on steam engines?
