A part of the Toeffelholm island world is going to be modeled in 7/8th scale with 2' gauge.

The first loco is built from a kit that was offered in the 7/8th Lounge forum by a guy called banjomike. The roof is a scratch built addition. Axle boxes, screw imitations, seat and bonnet handles are detail parts from Modelearth/Talisman.

Exhaust pipe and other details are still missing. Driver is recruited but is a somehow colourless person yet.

it's supposed to represent a petrol loco in the late 1920th.

Controlled with DelTang RC for sure and this time with sound addition.

Came together nicely. And of my two tabbies, Georgie just might do that!

Really nice Juergen...great to hear from you again. Those 7/8 scale critters are so neat, makes me want to build one also. Don't forget that we demand more, MORE!

The loco got a lamp and the exhaust pipe now and I add a pedal to the drivers cab. I lifted the brake wheel a bit, so that Emilia could get her hand on it.

The following photos show the DelTang installation and the installed bluetooth soundboard. The bluetoothboard can be switched on/off via the Rx65.

My use of this bluetooth soundboard is described in "The Replicant" thread.

Hi Juergen

Emilias loco looks GREAT !  :thumb:

Just luv that kitty !! :)

Those brass engine cover handles, remind me of old British Railways coach-door handles, when I was a kid. :P

Looks like you've been really busy on the scenery, the background is very nice too.

How's she sounding Juergen ? ???

Many thanks Si.
I've still to work on Emilia's painting. Doesn't suit me yet.

Sounding? Who? Emilia or the Loco?

The loco still sounds like in the last test video on your Replicant thread. Had no time yet to play around with these small sd modules. Did you already buy one? Think I will need help. The Manual is rather cryptical for me.

Emilia is rather reticent. But with this little sd modules I could add some speech file like "Get off the track you bloody idiot !" or so 😸 ? No, better not.

Hi Juergen

No I haven't bought one of the mini SD-Player boards ... YET.

( mini SD-Player board )

I'm still to get one of the 'Bluetooth' sound receiving boards as well.

( 'Bluetooth' sound receiving board, with built-in amplifier )

But I did do a little bit of research on the mini SD-Player board though.

The schematics I found, I Posted on >> THE REPLICANT << Thread. :bg:

SD-Player Board ... Schematics & Research

( some of Juergens seriously  C   L  steampunk DIY Victorian $4!7  ! )

I know your transmitters have some extra ^^ switches I think, sprung toggles ? L:

Each 1 potentially sending some kind of 'pulse' to the R.C. receiver I believe.

So yes, in theory, I guess one of these switches could 'pulse' the SD-player board, through it's 'tracks'.

( More steampunk brass & batteries, from Dr. Sartorius, built in The Mad Professors lab. ! )

Interesting sound possibilities, like . . .

Loco - Clanking sound.

Cat - Meeyowing !

Emilia - "Nearly at the station"

Loco - Hooter

Cat - More Meeyowing

Emilia - "Out the way $4!7 for brains !" :f:

etc. etc.

The options on the SD-Player board, are there for either built in amplifier, or line-level signal OUT to a separate amplifier.

Whether the 'pulse' from your transmitter, going to the receiver, is compatible with the SD-player board, I don't know.

L:

I also suddenly realized, that I guess because your 'Phoenix' sound board is NOT in the loco ...

... but in your 'box of tricks', I guess you can use the same 'Phoenix' board for more than 1 loco. :)

( Juergens 'Box Of Tricks' ... Built by Dr. Sartorius, in The Mad Professors lab ! )

I think with some nice sound-samples, loaded as a series of 'tracks' ...

... an interesting & seemingly random & non-repetitive sound sequence could be heard.

It's good that there is hopefully a bit of spare space in the big 7/8ths locos to fit all this in.

But I guess that space could still fill up pretty fast.

It is a pretty good solution altogether though, for the application of sound to an R.C. loco ...

... which as I understand it, is normally pretty difficult, or impossible ?? ... :us:

... unless you are using the 'Tam Valley' DCC R.C. system.

Pioneering stuff !! :thumb:
