Thank you all for the compliments. The inspiring example for the track plan is here in our area. The fisherport Fedderwardersiel is the role model, a little smaller and fishier :) - you smell the outboard friends everywhere. When you re interested, you have to type it in google maps in Germany. The joke is, there is a little loco, but just for to remember the visitors that we had a lot of hard work to do for this landscape - it has my totally respect. Diking was everywhere in the world a very hard business. http://www.bahnbilder.de/bild/deutschland~klein--feld--und-parkbahnen~sonstiges/119002/ein-deichbauzug-in-fedderwardersiel-zu-ausstellungszwecken.html - by the way - I love big horses - they have such a long face! :) - The fisherboat in my plan is 1:25 Gnaupner model called Tön 12.
I´m not shure that the plan work in this dimension - it should be 2,5 meter deep and 2,5 meter wide. The turntables - hm - what you can´t see is the dike. The chickensfoodmakinghouse (in the 1970s there was really one on the top of the dike) I will try to find a pic. the idea is:

hope ??? the painting is good enough to see what I mean.

greetings from the grey in grey weathered coast of Germany.

Hi Thorsten

Nice sketch of the KFC factory.
I think Mickey Rourke had the right idea about chickens in 'Angel Heart' though ! ;)
Tell that to the Colonel !!

Your trackplan looks very good to me Thorsten.
I think it would probably more or less fit in 2.5x2.5m

Don't listen to me BTW, I'm crap at trackplans ! :f:

But ... on a 2nd drawing, I would 'thin out' the track a little bit.

I can't help thinking that 2 parallel tracks on each left & right side...
...would be plenty for operating & a bit less 'cluttered'.
Possibly operating in a more straightforward way...
...freeing up a little bit more scenery and/or access space as well.

The other way might be to keep the 3 parallel tracks...
...but take out a few of the 'surplus' switches...
...that make the really short spurs, bottom left & right.
In any case, I am interested to see how the plan develops !

Totally great potential for buildings, boats, water & long faced horses ! ;)
Yer got it all !!

:moose:

Si.

Nice idea for the loco steam-dome.
What glue did you use Thorsten ?
That polythene is a devil to stick !

So we'll have another incline working sooner or later..
@Si
Thorsten might try to establish a double-track transit line between the two areas complete with blocking and signalling, and call it an HST (Happy Slow Train)

" call it an HST (Happy Slow Train) "

Hi Helmut

The Hornby OO model would be a good choice.

The 1:1 version comes complete with...
...hoardes of drunken football supporters...
...and endless track engineering work delays ! :f:

hi Si, I take Ruderer L530. I think its absolutely to much in my plan - I will shape it a lot - the idea is to take less space as possible. Maybe its makable on 1,60 to 1,60 meters - we´ll see. Thanks for the input.

I take a little time, a pen and paper - to have a look from the pace I sit to my left...

Hi Helmut. Erstmal - mein Vater kommt aus Friedberg! Witzig! :)

HST - sound great - jeher with all the signals and full digital computerised engine. The art of slow motion - we need that in Germany sooo much! :) -
For everybody: I told Helmut that my father was born in his hometown.

Football Fans in the Train - a scene we have every weekend - too cool for handicapped persons - and they re singing - loud and dirty - horrible! :)

Hi Thorsten,
Have you seen the Faller "Small wagon turntable" http://www.faller.de//App/WebObjects/XSeMIPS.woa/cms/page/pid.14.17.466/agid.1480.1498/atid.7704/lg.en/ecm.at/Small-wagon-turntable-with-servo-drive.html

Also look up "Car puller" like http://www.carpuller.com/accessories.html and "Capstan shunting" like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBH2I9fvMLM

Looking good from this part of the world, Keep up the good work.

hi oztrains, the turntables I´ve seen before, I must have it in my hands, then I´ll see. The shunting system is cool! Thank you for the idea!
