I model in O scale and am building a 20 x 21 layout in O Standard (5' not P48) and On30 Narrow gauge. I am hand laying all track, code 100 Standard, 70 Narrow using Fast Track fixtures and tools.  I really like their stuff.

I have both steam and diesel power and have added sound to all that I am using on the layout.  (There are a few more "projects" waiting for me!)  I am very fond of the QSI Titan with the stereo feature.  It works especially well in steam power as I use a decent sized sized speaker in both the smokebox and tender.  Here is a short video of a NJCB 2-4-4-2 Little River that has be modernized with new stack, headlights and tender converted to oil.  The Barnhart Loader and cars is from The Car Works.  That bridge is the only "semi" finished part of my scenery.

In case the video insert doesn't work

Here's a photo of #20 in the enginehouse.

I look forward to reading and sharing in this forum

Thanks,

Are you the Si that sent me my registration e-mail??

I don't have too many that aren't technical "how too" but here's a few.  A homemade turntable drive using a 12 volt car window motor (7 bucks) and a wheel from a clothes line pulley (3 bucks)  Works great.  Since I took that picture I've found a small cogged belt so no more slipping.

The rest are pics of how I use sanded grout to represent oily cinders around the turntable and engine service area.  I use many different colors of grout in my ground cover.  Sieve it over wet latex brown paint and you have great looking dirt to add static grass and other ground cover.

Well, perhaps you could tell me how to post more than 1 picture.  It seems when I picked a second pic, it overwrote the last one.  Live and learn-every forum has its picture quirks!

Peter
