Just got the OK to sign in. I'm a former HO guy living in North Tonawanda NY, that's between Buffalo and Niagara Falls.    Recent retirement as a special needs school bus driver, with ageing eyes and arthritis, I decided on  ON30.   The larger parts will enable these clumsy fingers to do less damage.   Have been building paper structures from Clever Models.  They are quite nice and kit bash able. Have accumulated a decent equipment roster through local train shows and EBay.  Wife has finally approved right of way in a spare bedroom.  Will start building around the wall 2.5 x 4 ft. modules shortly.   That's all for now Jim Iwanicki

Howdy Jim, welcome to Freerails. I don't know about that "old guy" business...we are all young turks here!
I know that you will enjoy being on this site, there are many fine modelers here and they love to offer help when needed. On30 seems to be the "default choice" these days unless you get hoodwinked by some of those malfeasers who have ventured into other ways to use 16.5MM gauge as some kind of narrow gauge. LOL!

Woodie
