OK I've just got my hands on a TRIANG pickle car for my HO layout, need it to go along with my Vinegar tank car, just weathering a E. Hattons LMS BEYER-GARRATT for the layout also. Will not mention what ore it will haul as someone may take offense, Hint Terry Pratchett book "Raising Steam" may give you a clue (pg 129)
As mentioned in the photo, the wing's started life as a TRIANG snow plow.
The pickles must get through!. Got a chuckle out of the
TRIANG add for the Plow and Pickle train. Apparently at the time the TRIANG plow was the most accurate model of a Canadian plow available.
Hope to get back to my rotary soon, found my curved roof stock (could not see it for looking), so progress should get going again.
Direct from the Swayne Lumber Co. to the Nevada County Narrow Gauge RR, this homemade rotary never was used on the NCNG due to no snow! There are better photos of this thing and much conjecture as to it's parentage. From other pix, it appears that it was built on the frame of an old Class A Climax, the trucks appear to be from a Climax. And the blade was powered by a 2 cylinder "marine" engine, just what ran a Class A. Who knows? Everybody who saw this in the flesh is long gone now so....

I'm afraid my snow plow train will not have the benefit of a hospital car or helicopter, My plow crew will have to make do with a side door caboose and a couple of Allis-Chalmers TD-20s to get them out of trouble.
Great photo, I had hoped to finish the Rotary by now and post a photo or two. Got side tracked building a barn for a friend of mine, it is close to being done, then back to the Rotary.
To many projects on the go as usual!!
