Ah - fifties style - I recall the ads in MR then, stating  "car comes less trucks and couplers"

There's plenty of stuff up here in the Northwest that you could probably buy.  There's even a Great Northern heavyweight passenger car in Central Montana that's just sitting on a siding owned by a local shortline along with a couple of plows. I'm sure for a couple hundred bucks, anyone could buy the car.  The problem is laying out 10k to move something that big and fragile.

Siding is at Coffee Creek, no towns for a few miles in either direction, and the Central Montana has no use for this thing (aside from storage).  One of these days I want to go up to Denton and make an offer on the car.  It looks to be in sound shape, just needs a new coat of paint, windows, and an interior restoration.
