Is there something up with the forums, in particular the R/C thread, Nice Guy Eddie has posted on the bottom of Tony Walshams threads that "nothing further can be added to this thread", why not, they are interestinmg and people may want to ask tony questions about his instals.
And in the "are you wary of LiPo's" thread, the last thread I can see is from Tramcar Trev on Sept the 8th 2015, the main index page shows the last thread was Nice Guy Eddie on April 16th, 2017

The Thread in the RC Forum, on batteries, was discovered to be faulty at the weekend.
This Thread was active at the time of the server-crash in August 2016.
Nothing since then had been Posted to that Thread, until Saturday.
So the problem was not discovered until this weekend.
As you point out, it is not possible to see the last Post in that Thread.
A handful of Threads were affected by the same problem, following the server-crash of 16th August 2016.
Herb asked me in September 2016 to look at these Threads generally & fix them if that could be done.
Most of the affected Threads have been found & the last Post repaired.
However they have had to be locked, as no new Posts will be visible.
I have been able to repair the last Post on most of the affected Threads.
With one or two however, it has not been possible to fix the last Post & make it appear.
So that last Post remains 'invisible'.
The battery Thread can still be viewed & linked to in the normal way.
As can the handful of other Threads which were affected in August 2016.
It is not however possible to add anything to the battery Thread, as new Posts will not show up.

Technical glitches must be the bane of a moderators/administrators life, thanks for the explanation, I don't feel so bad now.
Keep up the good on Model Railroading's number 1 Forum.
