Hi Everyone.  I came across this forum a while back but never really got around to introducing myself (and Si has kindly recreated my account), so here goes.

I'm a long time modeller in o14 - which is modelling 2ft narrow gauge in 7mm scale on 14mm track, i.e. close to prototype standards. I have standard gauge too for which I use Scale7 standards.

My long term project is a (fictitious) 3rd incarnation  of the Pentewan Railway in Cornwall. It lives in a loft and made a once only outing in 2014 to ExpoNG in Swanley UK. All the track is hand built using spikes and wooden sleepers on a thin foam bases. Some details are featured on my blog here: pentewan.blogspot.co.uk

I also help Roy Link with the administration of Narrow Gauge and Industrial website and the REVIEW http://www.narrowgaugeandindustrial.co.uk

John

@John
Welcome to freerails ( Couldn't find that emoticon in the list ).  I think you have a lot of fine modelbuilding to show.
BTW - how did your Pentewan Company talk the Festiniog into letting that Tasmanian Devil?

Thanks Helmut,
In my history K1 came to the PLR before going to the National Railway Museum and then North Wales - see pentewan.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/k1-garratt.html

Hi John

Great to see you here on Freerails. :bg:

Fantastic scene !

Swanley '14 huh ? ... Not far from me, but missed it sadly. :f:

Alwin is gonna want to see more of that loco, for sure.

He has some great proto. photos of such things.

Filling up memory-cards on holiday in Wales, I believe. ;)

Can't wait for more pix. John !

Hi John and let me add to the welcomes.

Great scene, and K1 is a favorite of mine.

Glad that you mentioned the Narrow Gauge and Industrial Magazine. Top notch magazine, put out by fine folks. Highly recommended.

I hope that you have more photos to share with us.

Herb
