Plant Expert Needed! [definition of an Expert: former drip under pressure]
I have a number of Bachmann Big Hauler Gondola cars. They are about 3 1/2 inches by 15 inches. I would like some Small flowering plants that I can put in them and run them at Train Shows and other events. I live in the south central Texas area just north of San Antonio.
I have been to a number of plant and garden shops in the area. Their 'small plants' are 4 inches to 6 inches tall and 3 inches to 4 inches wide.
Yesterday I found a 2 inch tall flowering plant in my front lawn and put it in a small flower pot.
Can anyone identify this plant? Do you know where I can get seeds for it so I can plant them to be in flower for each train show during the year?
Here it is in the gondola:
I would plant 15 or so plants in each car.
Right now I have these plants I have to run but they will get way to big to keep running. This car is 3 1/2 inches by 9 inches:
FWIW, those cacti you have for the gondola will not likely grow very much. unless you have experience with them otherwise. i have never seen them grow much at all. if you did not know, the colorful top portion has been grafted onto the bottom portion.
