Hello everyone, I am Ed from Seattle in the other Washington. I have dabbled in HO building layouts in my den, like Woodie, across the furniture but each one did not last long in the interests of family unity, wife's sewing, quilting, etc., and the kids disinterest in model railroading. The kids are gone and my wife and I have downsized to a condo. I have settled my wife in an exclusive sewing area and I am hoping to move in to a closet off the patio, approx. size 8ft by 3ft. It needs clearing  out first and but going try On30 because at 83 my eyesight and coordination, (brain and hands) is not as it used to be. Wish me luck.
Thank goodness for Freerails!

Hi Edwin

Great to see your intro on Freerails !

I'll 2nd Jose...

...some of that DOES sound familiar !

Hope you enjoy Freerails as a Member.

Keep us up to date with things.

The On30 Forum doesn't have a closet-layout ... YET ! ;)

Sounds good.

Howdy Edwin, welcome to Freerails. Finding space for a layout is sometimes a chore but that might make the plan more interesting! Yes, I use furniture (or something similar) to support layouts...because I am too lazy to build benchwork and besides I like to make the layout look like a part of the room. You can build a neat On30 line in 3 by 8 feet.

Edwin,
I live north of the Centralia (WA) area and also model On30 (if you have the 2017 On30 annual, my layout is in it). There's quite a few On30 types in this part of the country, it seems.
Looking forward to seeing some of your progress here.
This is a really good group of modelers, more so than any single forum I've yet found. And VERY little drama and excess wastes of bandwidth you find on a lot of other forums.
