So...Getting my feet wet with DCC after a lifetime of blocks and toggles :-)Doing some experiments with a Bachmann 0n30 Porter with the factory installed Tsunami decoder. Using the PowerCab 1.65Most things are working great but I'm having an issue getting at F10-F19. I programmed the option key to select the 10-19 and 20-28 functions but when I press a number key after the display says F10-F19 the "F10-F19" goes away and the seven blanks return. Pressing "3" for example doesn't invoke function 13, it still turns on F3.Did I miss something in the manual?Stan

Stan,
That is the way it should work, you might contact NCE about this.

Hmm, OK, good thought. I submitted a question to the NCE zen desk.I reset all the decoder CVs to the factory default, no help.Do you know what the display is supposed to do when a function higher than 10 is activated?

On my unit I use the EXPN button to look at the Functions above 9.

Yeah-NCE tech support got back to me, he had me use the expand key to see the higher number functions. The PowerCab is sending the function commands, seems like the tsunami decoder is not responding to anything higher than 10. Kinda weird...No answers yet.

I guess the next people to get ahold of would be Sound Traxx.

So...Chalk this one up to my own ignorance. Turns out that the Bachmann On30 Porter with Soundtraxx Tsunami sound does not support anything higher than F10.I did not have the documentation that ships with the Locomotive and so I made a couple of assumptions.NCE was kind enough to walk me through the PowerCab operation and we verified it was doing the right thing, as Nathan said, the expn key reveals the status of the upper register Functions.I had assumed that the Function list supported by Soundtraxx in their stand-alone decoders was also implemented by Bachmann...not true.My bad, lesson learned.
