Last vacation I visited the Train de l'Ardeche. A hertage railway.
Most of the photo's are from there.

The locking mechanism for the turnrable was intersting. When the lever (hold by the man with the handgloves in the previous photo) was above the flat plate they dropped it. It hit the block onthe other flat plate (seen on the next photo) and that stopped the turning. It also aligned the table in the correct position.
I think this could be a good idea for a model turntable, also handpowered of course.

Some very small bogie trucks. It think it is for transport at the station area only. Despite the small size the wheels are still kinda spoked.

The last two photo's are shot elsewhere.

Nobody commented yet on the turntable with a set of rails that go nowhere...

Jose.

Jose, are you looking at the TT under the railcar? Looks to me like a small industrial job. Very interesting.

Yes, probably transplanted there from another location. Otherwise doesn't make any sense at all, unless there a MAJOR track rearrangement job was done.Jose.

Great photos Alwin !

Is the railroad  4' 8", or meter gage?

I LIKE!  Herb

Herb: wikipedia says meter gauge.

Jose: Maybe the turntable is used for turning the railcars so it always rides in the right direction (radiator first).

The railcars are turned 180 degrees, the rails at 90 under it are totally useless.
Jose.
