I have also finished, but not yet weathered, a 100-ton moving car.
This was a resin kit by Funaro & Camerlengo/Schulkill Iron Works,
and although the body was well done,
it required different trucks, stirrup steps, grab irons, etc. to complete.
I will post a photo when the final work is done.
Easy to do, relatively, was the paint and assembly of two lumber straddle carriers.
These were 3D-printed and I picked up the supplier,
from reading about a Prototype Modelers meet in Railroad Model Craftsman.
I am very impressed with these.
A photo is attached of one of these and the grader,
which also requires weathering,
outside the mill truck shop.
In the background is a slightly modified SS Scale models 1920’s straddle carrier,
I built about 10 years ago.
However I have got to get into upgrading scenery this winter,
as I have intended for the past two winters!!!!
