Finally and perhaps more in keeping with the start of this thread is a slide back loader used on Potlatch's Clearwater Division in Idaho. 

I had this from John Henderson along with other material.

With the demise of logging train operations,

attached is a video showing what you would probably see at a modern day logging operation once again using logging trucks. 

This video was  taken at one of Weyerhaeuser's logging operations probably in Oregon or Washington State.

The caption to the video says Toutle WA so must be on the Longview branch. 

Pity they are not still moving it out by rail

Here is another photo which looks like loading a log truck but however it could also be unloading a log truck too.

I will look through my photos and see if I can find one which be a better photo. 

I know that I don't have any of transferring logs from a train to a log truck as normally the operations would be from truck to train.

That looks more like a load of fire wood than timber on the way to the mill.
