Some simpler sheaves for you Ray:

The first photo (with pigeon)(previous post) is of 6 spoked 'T' shape spokes.

Below photos are  4 spoked 'U' shaped spokes:

Hopefully of use to you.

You wanted winding sheaves ? :

A combination of multi-spoke & 4 spoke (these are round rope, not flat):

This 4 spoke sheave has axially flat spokes with raised edge flanges :

Above 3 photos taken at the rather dismally named 'Mina Te No Escapara' (no translation required).

Enough of mine winding sheaves, I've got a model railway to try to build !!.

But if you need any further info Ray please just ask.

Regards                                    Michael

Hi Ray,

The Mina Te No Escapara is part of the Cabezo de San Cristobal mining district at Mazarron, Murcia, Spain.
Fascinating place, mined from the Bronze Age, through Phoenician & Roman until the 1960's. 2000 yr old Roman stopes still open, accessible & not vandalised.
Ingots dating 700BC found in sunken Phoenician boat in the harbour.

Regards                                       Michael
