Anyone know if Harold's web site is still around?  Server not found for me.  I can only hope it is a temporary thing, he has/had an absolute wealth of data and knowledge on his site.

Thx.

Howdy Helmut, I haven't heard anything from Harold in many years. Sad that his website is closed, there was neat stuff and great ideas there. My favorite was when he showed how to use KaDee metal couplers to make cool link & pin couplers with just some Dremel tool work. I used that idea for my On20 mini layout and some of my 35n2 rolling stock.

yeah. i have seen some stuff he has posted after he decided to move on from On30, maybe I will try sending him a message.

If his domain did expire, I do web hosting and would be happy to host his old data for free.

From Harold's posting on the Bachmann site, he states he has cleaned out anything to do with On30. saved scenery information only.

his entire site is not coming up though. all of the hints and tips were there not too long ago, but

http://www.pacificcoastairlinerr.com/

is not working at all. i am trying to recall the other site he had for another scale he moved to, but cannot find it in my bookmarks.

Last I heard about Harold, he was into 1:55 scale and was upset that there wasn't any interest here on Freerails.Maybe he didn't give it time, who would have thought that 1:35n2 would be interesting?

I think I found it:

Dark Side Modeler

Unfortunately it is also not working.  This had me thinking about OO actually (as well as all the other distractions I consider!). I hope he is OK.

Yeah - I just ran across that one too Woodie, also not working.  Somebody said he was getting into V scale (virtual trains, probably Trainz or Train Simulator).

55n3 site

I wish I would have saved his stuff (all of it), I would put it all up if he gave permission.
