The old Plastruct panels are know to you

P2070556 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

You can cut strips from it and get an good profile for the 'luxury' gutters of expensive buildings instead of the half round more common ones

P2070557 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr
Don't ask me how but, after a couple of intents, Magoo managed to cut the strips ensuring a very thin lip remaining to the outside edge, as in the real ones.
It is very fdificult to see in the photos but once under the matt paint it will give a very subtle shadow line ... I hope!

The wider lip at along the inner edge makes easy to firmly glue it under the roof.
This is not glued, just kept in place with tape for checking the angle.

In the mean time, Nature -who seems to enjoy our nonsense- has done an accurate job on the korn fibers. Not only providing the usual very strong light color fibers but also an equaly strong darker ones. I always thought those were darker because already decomposing but now I learn they only have a darker color, probably because exposed to day light.

In this photo the darker ones seems lighter than they are in reality

but this is the real color:

And here the light ones:

Yes, the result would be much better if one makes the holes in the backdrop with a center drill or removing the backdrop from the layout and do the drilling on the workbench. But if one must keep the own impatience and impulsiveness repressed this wouldn't be a hobby but a non paid job! :us:

The big news is

:glad: I HAVE A NEW BICYCLE!!! :glad:

:rah::rah::rah::rah::rah:

Wel, it is second hand but a BATAVUS, a good quality old Dutch brand and in perfect condition. So I left the remains of the old 'Made in China' one (that was really a loyal friend for many years) at the shop and made my first 15km with the new old one.

And to celebrate that we have 24C+ today so my hammock is waiting for me at the balcony. :2t:

THe first phot was made lighter so you can see better

P2070855 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

P2070859 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

It is -at least for the time being- the left end of the layout and it is all about gaining from the couple of centimeters left a bit of infinite (imaginary) space

P2070860 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

P2070861 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

The twigs protruding at the rear of the wall will be 'shaved' once glued so a flat surface is left
