Sorry for the beginners mistake - its HO scale.

Re paint cans... 
I have one can of plain yellow automative paint, and one with a definite orange hue.
I first paint a model "wet" in plain yellow.
Shake the second can and give it a slight overspray with the yellow - orange can. 
Still may correct at this point with the yellow can if its too much orange....  

**IF** I do it right, it looks like Armor Yellow, and has a nice satin finish due to the overspray.  

Sounds crazy, but its the only way I have been able to achieve something that comes close to Armor Yellow.
