Have a Spectrum 0-6-0 that came with a MRC sound decoder.
To my surprise it runs ok, sounds ok for my old ears, and I was able to adjust some CVs with my Lenz hand throttle.
However, I don't know the exact type / number of the decoder.
It seems to be something "better" than the base product, as it has a green and a brown accessory light wire.
Only problem, I insist on independent control of front and rear headlight.... hate the automatic changing feature.
I found I can program both headlights to work on F0 simultaneously.
Next I had the idea to disconnect the rear HL (yellow wire) and wire it to one of the accessory wires (green or brown), for independent control.
Now the rear HL is on all the time, but looks "instable" - the front one has a nice, steady glow.
Had hoped to control it (the rear one) with F3 or F7 as this is a feature of the "HO Universal Steam DC/DCC sound decoder" #0001911.
Unfortunately, I am unable to find any way to shut down this accessory Funktion.
Any ideas?
