I almost like it

It kinda looks much more like a Cadillac than a train

Works for me

:f:

Hi Peter

Yep !  :)

I do like a nice railtractor with my lunch !  ;)

:pop:

I have been collecting photos, including some of yours Peter.

I know you started a thread on these kinda railtractors ...

... I keep meaning to Post some photos I've found, possibly in your Thread.

They might go well there, I'm gonna have to have a look see.  :)

The 6-wheeler conversions are particularly appealing to my eyes !  :P

Your photo ^^ is a useful 'cut-away diagram' LITERALLY ! the basic parts can be seen.

I will have to keep on looking for a suitable 'donor tractor'.

I had been having a look at 1:32 farm stuff, but haven't seen anything that looks OK yet.

Mmm ...  L:

I have PLENTY of projects to keep me busy anyway !!  :P

:moose: :moose: :moose: :moose: :moose:

Si, please post pics of rail tractors, the more the better, nice to see what's out there.

I have thoughts of using an N scale 6 wheeled coupled loco.
Dismantling it, fit new axles, rebuild using existing motor and gears, just widen the chassis, should look OK.

Sounds  good in theory, so when you find a suitable donor tractor buy two, one for you and one for me. :thumb: :) ...

Here is the same rail tractor (from the 1971 pic) at Erica, taken two years ago, in need of a makeover

.............Peter.
