Hello,

I have a question:

Did any of you install 'Peco' Smart Switch ?

I have a number of problems with it, such as power-up when switching on and programming with the controller.

Greetings Dieter

Hi Dieter,
Welcome to FreeRails

I'll try to help if I can.
I have an older ANE version already installed in a layout,
and the newer Peco version on a test rig ready to be transplanted into the layout soon.

The servos WILL "twitch" on power-up. This is more a function of the servos rather than of the controller.
There is nothing unusual in this. It should only happen once - at power-up.
Given that everything should be parked clear of all the turnouts, this "twitch" shouldn't really be a problem.

At power-up the servo doesn't "know" where it is.
So the servo tries to move, the controller does "know" where the servo is supposed to be,
so it sends the servo back to where it should be.

What other problems are you having?

Hello,

I have an old and a new Peco smart switch.
Both have problems.

Sometimes the servos turn 360 degrees when switched on.
This is not so good if the star wire is attached to the soft one.

I've been busy for 3 weekends, I can not find a solution.

Power supply is a power supply with 5 Amps / 12 Volts.

Now I'm about to demolish everything and use hand lever ...

regards Dieter
