Steel Mills for me are interesting.

I started my mill 12 years ago and it is no where complete.
I'm all the time adding details and scratch building equipment and buildings.

Here are a few pictures of my HO scale 1/87 steel mill.

Boiler House

Slag Hauler

Ladle Carrier

Transfer Car

Scrap side of Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF)

Dual Track Hot Metal Mixer car

Scratch Built Transfer Locomotive

Kit Bashed hot metal cars

Rolling Mill & Ingot stripper

Blast Furnaces & Sinter Plant

Over all view of part of the steel mill.  Blast Furnaces and BOF

One heck of a structure Donald, most impressive.

The heavy pipework alone is a gem and the hot metal cars - MTH? - are superb.

Easy to see how it's taken you all this time!

Thank you for the complements.

The hot metal cars are from Trix, Lime, Walthers, ST&D, Gary Lance, and kitbashed.

Howdy Donald, those are impressive photos of a wonderful complex!
I can imagine that you have years already in it and many more to come.
As you continue, please keep us enthralled with photos and information.
I haven't seen many models of this type of industry.

Woodie
