What the new small sized integrated BlueRail board should have:

Improved power option to retain the seamless battery/track operation,
plus charging of the battery from the track.

This will include multiple cell batteries, and have to include rectification etc etc.

This would mean in essence the battery is a 'stay' alive,
with a potentially unlimited discharge time.

It can charge the battery from the track.

I'm pretty sure the new board has both those features.

The video link was already posted back in post #37.

This is an add on board for DCC users with lots of room in their locos.

For me the critical board will be the fully integrated small form factor one.

The update was sent out.

Check out what Bluerails and Tam Valley have been up to:

Tam Valley - DCC - Bluerails new boards

You can use these boards either by themselves for basic control
(motor and forward/reverse lights)
and add a DCC controller along with them.

I might switch from S-CAB, although Neil has been working on updates as well
(he has mostly sequestered himself for the last 6 months)
so I want to see what he has been up to as well.
