I could improve now the under layout low-frequency response with a modified arrangement.

Sounds fine now. The  low-pass filter now works down to its lowest frequency of 22Hz.

See my last post in the “The Replicant” thread.

I also tried an active subwoofer instead of the low-pass filter.
For my ears I can achieve a better result for the loco sound when I’m able to regulate the frequency,
down to a lower bandwidth than the subwoofer electronic is able to.

But the active subwoofer / satellites combination is great for an ambience Harbour sound,
I recently got from Fantasonics.

Hi Juergen

Yes, this was exactly the idea, when recommending the low-pass-filter board.  L:

I'm pleased to hear it is all moving in the right direction Juergen.  :thumb:

WAY CHEAPER than trying to make or buy 'super low frequency' passive crossovers as well.

I speced out a passive crossover with a center-frequency of 125 Hz a while back.  :brill:

The cost of a decent quality 'hi-fi' inductor, for the otherwise simple circuit ...

... was enormous !  $$$

(as was the iron-cored heavy-gauge copper-wire inductor !)

It was in this case though, the only 'rea'l way to go, rather than 'active' electronics.

At only a couple of Bucks, the low-pass-filter board is worth getting to experiment with.

I got one here, which I briefly tinkered with, currently residing in my  C   L  boards box !  ;)

Had any ideas Stan ?  ???

Maybe you got an old BOSS-pedal kicking around that might work for something.  ;) ;) ;)

Perhaps some chorus & overdrive could sound good from a Porter !!
