Hey guys,

I got a Bachmann EZ Command DCC controller just to test engines on my bench.

I got a little Bachmann trolly car, but it's only DC.

So I push F10 on the controller marked "for DC operation",
but when I put it on the track, the electric motor makes a weird high pitched drone sound,
kinda like a speaker getting shorted out.

The engine still runs, but I just want to make sure I'm not hurting anything.
I'll try to post a video showing what I'm talking about.

The sound is probably going to happen because of the motor used in the trolley, not all DC locomotives will do that.

The output to the DC locomotive is not DC but an version of the DCC signal that makes the DC motor work.
