I got some model railroad stuff, and it had a log disconnect kit from Don Winters,
has anyone heard of him?
Says he is from Florida.
No instructions,
says to use pictures from 'Pino Grande' which I don't have,
can any one help?

Howdy Charles, the disconnect trucks sound like those available from Kadee.
I would be glad to post a photo of the Mich Cal (Pino Grande) trucks,
but I have been warned to not post "copyrighted" photos.
The truck(s) might look like a small 4 wheel flat car which Mich Cal built in their shops.
A look on the net might help.

It was many years ago that I built some of his kits.
The start of the instructions says 'First you get a glass of wine.'

Charles:
Don Winters has been dead for at least 10 years,
maybe longer.
He produced many fine kits,
at one time he produced a new kit it seams for about every day.
There are many pictures of the Pino Grande disconnects online,
just do a search for them.
As I remember they were an all wood car,
unlike the Kadee kit cars, which were all metal disconnects.
If you can't find a picture I will look in my stash,
as I know that I have somewhere.

I have 4 zip lock bags of parts.
I can identify some of them but not all,
and it doesn't look like most of the disconnects.
I will keep looking.
Thanks for the help.
