Not sure I have ever posted my micro layout here.

I quick video of a train running today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y1I4JwUn5w

The train belonged to the Late Verne Niner a close friend of mine.

The micro layout was a fictitious end of the line industry for Verne's layout.

That was fun.  :)

So how long to build that entirely, start to finish (just curious).

Thanks Todd,

That is a hard question to answer.

I recycled the engine house, shop and two cabins from past projects.
The layout was then 95% complete within 10 months.

I have been pulling it out every 6 months for the last 4 years,
and changing around details or adding more as I felt the need.

All of this was done as a diversion from the main layout,
when I felt I needed a jump start.

Micro layouts are a great way to work on something different,
so you don't get stale.

Work continued on the Micro layout today.

I picked up a 6' folding and started to build a fiddle yard,
so I can take the layout to shows if need be.

There is now enough storage for 5 small trains and 3 critters off the layout.

The Layout will live on it's small base most of the time but it is fun to play.

That's going to be a busy little R.R. with that fiddle yard.

Hi Larry

I really like your 'micro-mining' setup !  :old dude:

It looks good with the 'corners' taken off the ends of the oval.  :thumb:

A neat trick, which I haven't seen very often.  L:

An 'egg pizza' perhaps !  :P  ;)

Your fiddle-yard looks perfect & I guess 'multipurpose' & handy to have.

It sort of reminds me, of how John Allen connected 'back-to-back' Timesavers.

Very inspiring ! ...  :bg:

... My hoard of 'Hornby' sectional, is begging me to 'fiddle' with it.  :)

Can you comment at all, about the pattern of switches, on the fiddle-yard ?

Was it hard to design ? ... Or just BINGO ! and it was done ?  :us:

:moose: :moose: :moose: :moose: :moose:

Si.

The business end looks ... well ... BUSY !  :thumb:
