Yesterday was graduation day from radiation/chemo treatment...
Now its just a waiting game to recover and get a new PET scan to see if I whipped the ol Cur outa my system....
Oncologist said I had a great shot at beating this nasty critter since it was caught very early...
And for a reward if I do come up clean I get my chest cracked open to replace a heart valve....

Getting old aint for Sissies.  :bang:

On the bright side, I can now have a BEER !!!  [toast]

Good on yer Todd!
Here's to a clean future.

I had the sissies' radio only version 10 months ago,
and it seems to have beaten the big C.

Just left with the hormonal after effects and atrial fibrillation,
which it seems loads of 78 year olds have these days!

Good luck with the other stuff.

Todd,

I'm very happy to hear that,
while nothing to squeal with glee about,
that it's still happy news.

My Mom had colon cancer back in the 80s,
and they caught it just in the nick of time.

Just about 40 years later, she has her issues
(with a lot less colon than she was born with),
but the "big C" didn't come back to get her after all.

Thanks for the support and well wishes etc....

Nasty stuff for sure ... cure is nearly as bad as the big C.

Once recovery is done it's time to get back to building something...

Time to pull out the ol RMC's from way back when,

and see what looks interesting for a starting point.

Glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery Todd.

Put the beer in the fridge and get building something.

All the best, Simon.

Update....

Still moving slowly during the recovery period....
But the key word is moving.

I am moving and starting to get a few things done.

Feeling better is a slow process....
But they told me 4-6 weeks for recovery.

They don't tell you all the things you will have to recover from....
Example, for 2 weeks my neck swelled up like a whitetail bucks in rut.

There was not enough ice in the freezer to take care of that....
Good thing it's winter and there's ice on the roof edge.  LOL

Now that is on the mend, what remains is the general fatigue,
and a bit of esophagitis which is improving.

Couple more weeks I should be fit as a fiddle.  :glad:

Glad to hear you're on the mend Todd.

My wife had knee replacement.

While not as serious, has me chained to house and fetching and cooking etc.
