Charlie B

Beautiful job on the 'Ma & Pa'.
Nice to see someone keeping her alive.

I grew up in Maryland not far from Bel Aire,
and have hiked the old road bed several times.

Also toured the Baltimore roundhouse on Falls Road.
It’s still there as well as the freight house just past it.

The distance between Baltimore and York is around 44 miles,
but the length of the 'Ma & Pa' roadbed is just over 77 miles,
with 476 curves and 111 bridges and trestles.

Beautiful hilly countryside all the way.

When I was last there 20 years ago,
there was still the standing remains of a long curved wooden trestle.
I think that was in Delta.

Thanks for sharing your layout.
Really nice.

- Tom

Thanks Tom,

Nice hearing from you.

Feel free to post any photo's you might have.

Maybe we can get some other people interested in the 'MA & PA'.
