My modeling has been on hold since the pandemic began.
At that time I was converting my sons bedroom into my hobby room with his permission.
Then all classes at his university were moved online and he moved back home.
It's great having him here but my On30 shelf layout that will be in that room at some point,
is currently on hold.
In the meantime I'm organizing all of modeling stuff
(free flight aeromodelling, amateur rocketry, model railroading, and military modeling)
and getting rid of what I don't need anymore.
In that process I've found a number of HO scale kits,
so I decided to build a small layout that can fit in my bedroom with the wife's permission.
Hence a 1'x 4' Blank Slate:
Here are a few of the kits that are available to use:
The Keystone Shay kit is HOn3 even though the box says HOn30.
The Chivers Davenport is HOn30 but I have a NG&SL article on converting the Bachmann 0-4-0 to HOn3.
Some more kits:
I think I will keep all the rolling stock to 20 scale feet or so.
I have 6 of the Taurus 20ft. ore cars.
I wonder how hard it would be to chop 10 feet off of the Rail Line boxcars just for fun.
Now for a track plan that might hold all this stuff!
