Hi
While I wait for the plinth to arrive,
I started working building sections of the stone wall.
These have had a coat of grey paint ready to start weathering,
by using the dry brushing technique.
The lamp hut has been built and painted grey,
ready for some rusting and weathering.
Here is a progress picture..

Hi
The main colours have been added to the hut, stone walls and track.
Next will be to add some weathering powder to each of the items.
But for now some more progress pictures.

Work is progressing nicely.
The gorse bushes around the back of the lamp hut have been added,
and I’m pleased with the way it’s looking.
The ballasting has been toned down using weathering powders,
which has the desired affect.
The buffer stop has been made using track sleepers,
as I have seen this done in pictures and it adds to the affect I am looking for.
So here is my latest progress picture..

Hi
The diorama has moved on and I think it’s now completed.
I’m really pleased with the way the diorama has turned out.
Little Timmy is watching a wagon being shunted into a siding,
while on his way to school.

Hi Kevin
The diorama is looking totally WONDERFUL !
I simply just love some of the elements of smaller detail you've included.
For those watching from around The World ...
... the red object in the middle, on a post (no pud intended !) ...
... is an old-skool 'Royal Mail' letter-box, as we used ? to call them.
I still have one, attached to a wooden-post, just down the lane from me !
Little Timmy is wearing absolutely typical British school-uniform from the period ...
... of green, including shorts & peeked cap.
I think you'll agree Kevin ...
... the Diorama shows just how BIG ! those 'small' Brit. 'wagons' are !
Nice lighting for the photos !
A 100% genuine British, slightly overcast day !!
Si.

Hi Si.
Thank you for the lovely comments.
It’s amazing how much detail can be added to a small diorama,
and also it gives you a chance to try different modelling themes and techniques.
