I only build one of these about every few years, this is the latest one.

The chassis is 3D-printed,
the body shell is a spring pull-back toy from Disney.

It is a bit larger than N scale,
but close enough that structures and accessories look good with it.

A (sort of) HO Disney monorail is in the background for comparison.
The track is 13" radius, about as tight as it will run on.

N Scale Monorail

The model is 'Battery Powered Radio Control',
and I designate it Nn0 since we can't get more narrow gauge than one rail.

Hi boB

Your monorail looks excellent !  :thumb:
An electrical technical feat for sure, in such a compact scale.  :brill:

Battery Powered Radio Control (B.P.R.C.) looks essential for 'one railers' !

For all us bandwidth & data-challenged modellers out there (loads, so I hear) ...

... do you have any more still photos of construction & of course, in operation !  :bg:

I for one, haven't been able to see the YouTube videos.  :f:

:!::!::!::!::!:

Si.

Here are more photos showing the wiring and LEDs (and a DelTang Rx41 buried in there).

The motor is a 6mm gearhead, with HO slot car gears (and wheel & tire) for final drive.

The beamway is made from vinyl molding sanded to 5mm wide (+/- 0.2mm).

Hi Bob

Thanks for the extra photos.

Well worth the effort, that looks really great.

Only four of these exist, mine,
and the ones I built for owners of an Olszewski Disney Main Street layout.

The layout is mostly in Z scale,
but the monorail looks good circling Main Street.

The parts keep getting smaller,
so I built a monorail that is about 18 mm shorter / 2 mm narrower,
but it is not ready for production.

Maybe one day I can build a real Z scale monorail !  :)
