Herb. None of my cars will be retired on my SFRSD. I model a specific time period on the Santa Fe and only purchased Locos and cars applicable to that time period.

Tannery Freight Cars at a Glance
There was a line in the southern tier of New York state called the "Sole Leather Line" or Wellsville, Addison & Galton or WAG for short, that had tanneries on it's line. They used hemlock bark for the tannin. I have some of their waybills some were in my collection of railroadiana.
