If you're not inclined to fiddle with additional magnets, and have a bit more space,

just use a double coil bistable relay with two small reed switches placed ~3/8" apart.


Install some sort of indication when the relay is activated, e.g. a LED etc.

In case you want just ONE 'Magic Stroke On/off', try this:
